Thank you all so much for your ratings and super-helpful feedback and gameplay footage. You've helped me identify necessary fixups and flaws in architecture that I will be working to fix. Yes, I am actively working on completing this experience as originally envisioned, with a boss battle and everything. Given the unexpectedly high ratings for an incomplete game, I surmise that people were voting based on the expectation of what it could be, not solely what I ended up completing by the game jam deadline. With that in mind, I am continuing the work. If you follow me on itch, you'll get a notification when I post the update. Thanks again, everyone, and great job to all participants -- I'm blown away by the accomplishments on display in these other submissions.
Tested on Meta Quest 2 using Air Link and Quest Link, should also work for Rift.
If you're eager to hear a cringe-worthy rip-off of a recently-canceled voiceover artist, let's call him Justin R... this is the VR game prototype for you. It's not complete per se, but it lays the groundwork. I spent one week on it. I clearly spent a lot of time on the voiceovers and the logic to trigger it correctly (theoretically).
I used Hurricane + Hexabody for the player controller. Art, textures, meshes, and audio were all painstakingly customized. Full asset list of what I used is in the build.
