GOOD NEWS EVERYBODY!
At the time of the deadline, the Windows build would crash immediately. I made ZERO changes to the project, opened it in the newest version of Unity, made a build, and it works. So if you actually want to PLAY the game now instead of WATCH it, you may do so.

Since NO changes were made whatsoever after the jam deadline, it would be well within the rules to rate based on this build instead of just watching the gameplay video. Your choice, though.

Abstract:

You want a helping of cheesiness with your freeziness? I gotchu. Pop in a VHS of THE FREEZENING, a horror-comedy eighties-like. This one-of-a-kind cinematic experience is packed with no less than three overly-dramatic-pauses in which you will discover the fate of the protagonist. You won't get any fancy stuff like open worlds or multiple endings, no sir or maam. Choice is an illusion, yo.

Protagonist is dropped on an Antarctic research post to investigate what happened to two sciency nerds. How do you know that? Certainly not because it's in the game. It's not. It's right here, and you read it, so now you know.

This is a fourth-wall breaking prototype of a fictional prototype game whose protagonist is aware they are the protagonist in a game prototype of a fictional game based on a fictional movie. It's a bit meta, but mostly you just find Developer Notes and read them and soak in the ambience.
